Charlestown: Samuel Etheridge, 1812-1814. "Taylor's Edition" Half crimson sheep with marbled boards. Large 4to, 4 vols. The "Fragments" is profusely illustrated but the plates are unnumbered and there is no list, so the set has not been collated. Covers to vols 2 & 3 completely detached although still intact unto themselves (ie boards and spine attached to each other; cover of vol 4 almost detached, vol 1 completely intact. On the shelf with the bindings around the text blocks the set appears to be intact. Vols 1 & 2 consist of Calmet's Dictionary, vols 3 and 4 being the "appendix." Internally in Very Good condition, the text blocks are solid, with browning and offsetting to the plates. In 1817 a fifth volume was added, Sacred Geography by Edward Wells (not present here).
