Churchill and Edith Newcomb owned farms in Greenwood, Albemarle County VA, and Purcelville in Loudon. Churchill grew up in Lousiville KY and was a descendant of the Churchills who donated the land for Churchill Downs. Newspaper clipping of an article by Newcomb laid in, along with a flyer from the Cunard Line suggesting travel to the Grand National in Liverpool.
